In late May 2016, the third series of this show debuted on BBC1. It is also very sad to hear that this series will be the final one. Why do they have to cancel all of the good shows?
It was good to see a lot packed into an hour long episode. The timeline had moved on – which is always good to see. It seemed that this episode was attempting to re-establish old relationships and the formulation of new ones.
The villain escaped my notice fully but I heard it was Rupert Everett so I will certainly look out for him in future episodes. The previous villain was so boring and uninspiring so perhaps I came to this series with very low expectations.
I have high hopes for this series and I hope all of the characters can go out of it with a bang crash wallop. It may only be a poxy TV series but its been isofar very well written and its stupid that they would cancel shows such as this. Why would they cancel a show which supposedly has good ratings? And yet, the BBC seems to thrive on repeats of ‘Homes in the sun’ and endless reality shows which are carbon copies of others seen before? It doesn’t make sense, but I can’t really make a sound judgement until I’ve seen all the episodes.
A pity really. All the same, a good episode.
MY RATING: **** / *****
